Yesterday was our 11th anniversary. We rented kayaks and went out on Lake Washington. We haven't done this in about 5 years, and so we were both pretty nervous at first. It took about 20-30 minutes to get used to the motion. It's different in the winter too because the thought of being tipped into the water is much scarier. This is the first time I've been in my own kayak, and I like it so much better, more control. The water was beautiful. I have a love/hate relationship with water, but nothing makes me feel more alive than being on the water, and I think nothing in nature is more beautiful. We stayed out until the sun went down, it was pretty cool.
We went to dinner after, and had a chance to talk to each other without being interrupted, which we haven't done for a while. It was a great evening. Thanks Vic.

Wow, who took those pictures? Very talented eye!!! You could sell those. I want to go kayaking with you soooooo bad!! You look great BTW.
I think i will steal your pics and use them as desktop wallpaper. It will be motivation to get me out to see you.
Thanks. I took the pictures, except the ones of me of course. I would love for you to come out and we'll take you!
Happy Anniversary. It's interesting that Kelli and I have been married as long as you and Vic had when I met you. Kinda odd feeling. I remember thinking you guys seemed so grown up and in charge of things.
Was the last time you went kayaking with Kelli and me? I can see why you guys do it. And I would ALSO prefer my own kayak. Last time I just ended up being the one to paddle Kelli around while feeding her grapes.
you are brave, i think that would scare me to death. just the thought of having my legs tucked in like that. your pictures are really beautiful though. the water looks so smooth.
Happy Anniversary - those are amazing photos! I don't know how you could go in the water in winter - you're brave!!!
Kyle stole my comment. Your timing totally means that it was when me and Kyle went with you before we got married! Crazy. I had a lot of fun, but I never want my own boat, Kyle loves paddling for me, regardless of what he says :) I'm glad you had such a good anniversary. I tend to get sick and ruin those romantic holidays.
Happy Anniversary! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun, I'm pretty jealous. I can't even remember the last time Jeff and I went out alone.
That looks so fun! I've always wanted to take up kayaking, but I've never had the nerve/motivation to actually get out there and do it. Happy anniversary!
Happy anniversary! That first picture is my favorite. Kayaking sounded fun until I read Kassie's comment and imagined myself flipping upside down and not strong enough to flip myself back over and being stuck. I started hyperventilating.
Man I swear I already commented on this. Maybe I just thought I did. Anyway, you look great in the pictures, that was my first thought. And I also think you guys are super daring to go out on cold lake. I too love the water but it has to be the perfect temp. I would be so nervous about tipping. I love the pictures you took too.
I also have been wanting to ask you some advice on homeschooling. I have been doing a little bit of it with my sisters kids while I have them twice a week, and am really enjoying it. But we pretty much just do letters the whole time. I don't really know what I am doing and was wondering if you knew any good resources I could look into to learn more about it.
