Christmas tree

We went to this awesome tree farm (tree factree according to Erik) on Saturday. It's in Maple Valley, called Wilson farms or something like that. The people there were so nice, we met this too cute 10 year old girl who gave us the tour. After we cut our tree down, they brought out a tractor to load it up in and gave the kids a ride around the farm. They had free cider and hot chocolate. I just can't say enough nice things about this place, it was so great.

We decided that this year we would have a home-made tree. The kids are going to make all the ornaments (ordiments). They have been stapling paper together and stuffing it with tissues, and today we put beads on string. It has been a lot of fun and given them something to do.

I have been waiting for you to post about your trip to the tree factree. I really like this idea, and think it is such a great way for your kids to have a place to put all their creations they make. Kory and I were talking about how much we love coming to visit, because your kids always send us home with their hand made creations. And lots of them. They are both so creative, and thoughtful and giving. Thanks again for letting us stay with you, I wish we could have spent more time with you all.

I love the kid's names for everything. Somehow, that's how you'll think of that particular thing from now on. Things like that are so fun to hang onto. Also, you're kids have great "camera face" they don't do the annoying hide-behind-their-hand thing. Seriously a huge plus.

I love the hand made decorations - I remember being so excited to do this as a child and even now :)

Tree Factree is awesome. Love it- so Erik. Is that farm near us? If so that's where we've gone the last few years too- the tractor rides are a bonus to the whole experience.
