So I've been feeling a little down lately. A little depression mixed with PMS and boredom on top.
So I found this job online that I kind of want, and the guy asked me to send him my resume. I sat down to write it and became so overwhelmed. Bothered by the big 8 year gap in my experience and feeling like I have no skills to offer anyone. I searched the net for inspiration, and after starting, stopping, deleting, and starting again, I started getting into a flow. After reviewing my jobs that I've had and the things I learned from them I started to come up with a list of qualifications. By the time I was finished I started feeling pretty good about myself.

Sometimes it takes a little reflection and tooting (ha,ha) one's own horn to lift you up.

Preaching to the choir, my friend. Why do you think I crave daily affirmation on my blog?
That's good to hear. I'll be a reference. What kind of job is it? Did you get my email?
tooting always lifts me up... :0)
I know how you feel. Even without the gap in work I feel underqualified for just about anything.
Until I just try to paint myself in a positive light. Trying to sell yourself can be a great self-affirming activity. (As long as it's not on the streets... that's illegal)
I know what you mean, its always nice when you finish doing a resume and say to yourself "I totally would hire me because I rock!"
Anyway did you apply for the job then?
First, I'm sorry to hear that you've been down lately. I'm glad you made that resume so you could be reminded of how great you are. I think you're awesome! I wish I could do even half the things you do!
