I have hated our sink since the first day we moved in here. I thought it was a great idea but the little sink on the side turned out to be a big pain. Everytime we would rinse food off into the disposal, we would end up with water all over the counter. Erik was always confused about where to put his food and would usually get it wrong so I had to fish out his food with my hands into the other sink. So I spotted this sink at home depot and started dreaming about it. But we couldn't really justify spending the money.
Then I found this same sink on amazon for $50 cheaper and it being April, I decided to just buy it for myself. I love amazon! So my loving handy husband (with a tiny bit of help from me) has spent yesterday and today putting it in.

that is an awesome sink!!! i would LOVE not to have that stupid side sink for jerome to dump his ramen noodle in. Nice work, its really pretty!
Lovely. And Shiny. I want a new kitchen sink...and a new house.
I would love a new sink! And PS, I love your hair in that picture!
You know, it has always bugged me that moms have to use their "birthday credits" to buy stuff for the house, and yet I do it all the time and love it! A giant stainless steel sink would be awesome.
Related to your previous posts, I totally sympathize with not doing things out of fear and/or worry about others' judgments. I'm probably going to put Connor in a hybrid homeschool/classroom program for kindergarten next year, partly just so I can tell everyone he goes to a "charter school" rather than say I'm homeschooling. Pitiful, huh?
Oh, and some of my fondest childhood memories are of following deer and wandering around with my brothers in the suburban wilderness.
That's an excellent sink.
Had I been thinking clearly I would have gotten a catch all sink instead of the standard side by side.
Ohhhh the Anderson birthday wishes. So weird. I'm just now catching up on all your posts. For some reason my ipod wouldn't update yours and the whole time I thought you hadn't posted since your anniversary. So it's been nice seeing your pics and reading all your posts. BTW, you know Matthew's old private school in Payson? They just started the unschooling program this year. Over the summer, she had everyone write up their own education plan and then she found people who could teach the subjects to them, construction, juggling, etc.
And....i hate side by side sinks! No one agrees on which side to put the dishes in. Having had lots of roommates, I know!
I love the new sink!! Happy Birthday!!
Isn't it fun to replace something that has bugged you forever? It looks really nice.
