Nothing

We've been spending a lot of days doing nothing. It's bloody hot here. So hot I can't even stick my head out of the window. I'm so grateful for my air conditioner. Best purchase ever. The kids have been in the pool for countless hours, and both have gotten sunburned. We go for walks at night once it cools down some. I have been reading, and watched both seasons of dead like me. It's not too bad a show. It's not that great either. I finally cleaned my house today because I have company coming over. We've been eating dinner out in the back yard, which is something I love, and I don't have to clean the kitchen table too.
Above is Vic's garden. He moved it to the side of the yard so he could have more space and we can extend our patio. Since it's so late, we didn't have much to choose from as far as plants. We planted watermelon, pumpkin, tomato, tomatillo, zuchinni, and jalapeno. He also has some herbs he's been sprouting in the house.
It's supposed to cool down and even rain this weekend, yay!

30 days? What's this?

You saying ac was your best purchase ever made me feel better about possibly spending over 2000 for one.

Did it rain yet? It was raining here today.

We'll be there July 3rd.
Our air conditioner was only $350 from Home Depot. It's a window one. So I don't know about this $2000 thing.

That garden sounds great to me! I am jealous you are growing something, all we have in our yard is weeds, I am not even planting flowers this year, because of all the stray cats, and fear they are leaving poop in my garden and I don't want to get whatever that is you can get from cats when you are pregnant.

Yeah Maida told me you guys would be coming down in July. Thats pretty exciting!

Kass-They use Tamatillos in the cafe rio salad dressing, that is what makes it green... so you have tried them before. :)

Looking forward to seeing your garden. I bet Vic will have a salsa making fest at the end of the summer... He'll have to learn to can. Unless you get your wish, that is, and we have a cool rainy summer and all our heat loving plants fail!! We loved our window AC in auburn too. It worked really well. $25.00 from the neighbor. Great deal!

What is tomatillo? I love eating outside every night. We do that too.

Eating outside is great. Because our yard is so crappy right now we eat on our driveway.
